Our Name

Purapura - seed

The whakaaro/thought around using the word purapura for our cluster is based on planting our kaupapa, and supporting the growth and development of kura, communities and whānau.  

As Manaiakalani is also a star constellation, using this kupu/word also makes a connection to purapura whetū, a tukutuku pattern that represents the stars and the great numbers of people of a nation.

Ngātahi - together, simultaneously, as one, in unison.
